Clear Aligners

Do you suffer from crooked teeth or a misaligned bite, but you don't want to hassle with traditional metal braces?

Invisalign® clear aligners are removable and can straighten your smile quickly without the need for metal wires and brackets.

At Fine Dentistry in Chandler, AZ, Dr. Henry Phan offers this popular and effective orthodontic treatment in a comfortable environment...

A Clear Alternative for a Straighter Smile

A Discreet Option

Invisalign is clear and virtually unnoticeable. Most people will not know you are wearing your Invisalign aligners.

A Higher Level of Comfort

Unlike the metal brackets and wires of braces, clear aligners use smooth, clear, BPA-free plastic and are custom made for a comfortable fit.

Easier to Maintain

Unlike braces, Invisalign makes it easy to maintain your oral health and keep your aligner clean. Simply remove your aligner, and then brush and floss your teeth as normal.

No Dietary Restrictions

Since our custom-made aligners are easily removable, you can take them out to eat. There are no restrictions on what you can eat, and you don't have to worry about breaking a bracket or getting food caught in the wires.

A Noticeable Difference

Braces vs Invisalign

Customized to Meet Your Needs

Straighter teeth can improve your confidence and also your overall health. Dr. Phan has been helping create beautiful, healthy smiles with orthodontics since 2002.

Starting Treatment

Straighter teeth can improve your confidence and also your overall health. Dr. Phan has been helping create beautiful, healthy smiles with orthodontics since 2002.
Before starting your treatment plan, Dr. Phan will meet with you to map out a precise teeth-straightening strategy, including how the aligners will correct your crooked teeth and your expected timeline. During the consultation, he can show you a preview of your new smile so you know what to expect.

Impressions will be taken of your smile in order to create a series of clear aligner trays that fit over your teeth.

Once the trays are made and sent back to our practice, you can begin wearing your aligners immediately. You should wear them 22 hours a day for optimal results.

Every one to two weeks, you will change your aligner to the next in the series. Each aligner tray will have a slightly different shape to gently shift your teeth into proper alignment. You will see Dr. Phan every three weeks at our Chandler practice so he can monitor your progress and ensure treatment is progressing properly.

After completing your clear aligners treatment, you can enjoy the benefits of having teeth that aren't crooked or overcrowded. Straighter teeth can reduce your risk of teeth grinding and TMJ disorders that can cause constant jaw, neck, and shoulder pain.

Straight teeth are also easier to brush and floss, cutting down on your risk of decay and infection. Additionally, clear aligner patients often experience a boost in self-confidence as straighter smiles make them feel more attractive.

Caring for Your Aligners

As you progress through your orthodontic treatment, it is important to follow Dr. Phan's directions on caring for your aligners. In general, you should:

Rinse Your Aligners Daily

You should remove your aligners and rinse them with water at least once a day to remove food debris. Rinsing your aligners can decrease your risk of decay.

Use a Gentle Cleanser

Regular toothpaste is too abrasive for aligners and can cause damage. Mild soap and a soft-bristle toothbrush can effectively remove bacteria from your aligners.

Use Lukewarm Temperatures

Use lukewarm water when cleaning and rinsing your aligners to prevent warping. Noticeably hot or cold temperatures can make the plastic expand or contract, potentially affecting your aligners' shape and efficacy.

Ask About Faster Treatment Timelines
Available at Our Chandler, AZ, Office

Though clear aligners can often straighten teeth in 12 to 18 months, some patients are put off by how long it takes. Our office in Chandler, AZ, has found a solution. For the fastest results, our dentist can provide you with traditional braces and then switch you to Invisalign trays. By wearing wire braces for the first four months of your treatment and then clear aligners, you can cut your overall treatment time in half.

Maintaining Your Smile after Clear Aligners

When your treatment is complete, Dr. Phan will fit you for a retainer to maintain the position of your new smile. The retainer is custom-made using the same state-of-the-art technology as your clear aligners. Following a consistent oral healthcare routine is important to preserve the health and appearance of your smile. Be sure to maintain proper dental hygiene and schedule regular appointments at our Chandler office. Many patients also choose to undergo teeth whitening for an extra enhancement once their treatment is complete.

Frequently Asked Question

Do clear aligners hurt?

You will be fitted during your appointment to ensure that your aligners do not rub or cause irritation to your gums. There may be some mild discomfort with each new aligner as your teeth and mouth adjust. However, if you experience any lasting pain or discomfort, or if your aligner is rubbing your gums, it is important to let Dr. Phan know so he can help.

How much does Invisalign treatment cost?

Clear Aligner treatment cost is comparable to braces. Some dental insurance plans cover Invisalign. Our office also accepts third-party financing through CareCredit® to help you cover out-of-pocket expenses. After your initial consultation with Dr. Phan, he will develop a treatment plan, and we can give you a clear idea of how much treatment will cost.

I am missing a tooth. Can I still use clear aligners?

Missing teeth can cause other teeth to shift. Orthodontic treatments like Invisalign can prevent or treat this problem. Our Chandler, AZ, practice also offers treatments such as implants and dental bridges, which help prevent future tooth movement into the empty space.

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

This will vary based on each patient's unique dental needs. However, treatment usually lasts about 12 to 18 months with 15 months being the average. Once you come in for a consultation and Dr. Phan assesses your orthodontic needs, he can provide a more precise timeline.

Am I too old for Invisalign?

It is never too late to seek orthodontic treatment to correct crooked teeth or a misaligned bite. As long as you are a good candidate for Invisalign, there is no age limit for treatment.

Why should I choose Dr. Phan at Fine Dentistry for Invisalign treatment?

Dr. Phan prides himself on giving his patients a beautiful and functional smile and also providing the education they need to achieve and maintain optimal oral health. We understand that bulky, metal braces may be the thing holding you back and keeping you from seeking treatment for crooked teeth or a misaligned bite. Our state-of-the-art technology helps us to expertly craft a custom treatment plan to address those issues with Invisalign or other orthodontic treatments.
